- The Activation Code screen will appear on your LG or Samsung Smart TV. On another device (like a mobile phone, tablet or laptop - not from your Smart TV), go to xfinity.com/authorize to continue the activation process.
- From the web browser on your second device (not the Smart TV), enter the six-digit code provided from the Xfinity Stream Beta app.
- Still from the web browser, enter your Xfinity ID and password, then select Sign In.
- The web browser will show a Success! message, notifying you that your LG or Samsung Smart TV has been activated and the activation screen on the Xfinity Stream Beta app will update shortly.
- After your Smart TV has been successfully activated, you'll see the Terms of Activation. Scroll to read the terms and select Yes to accept and continue. If you select No Thanks, you'll be taken back to the first step of the activation process (Welcome screen).
- Next, name your device and select Confirm. The device name is used to help with troubleshooting as well as any future device management settings.
- You'll see the main menu. You're ready to begin using the app!
Note: If you are experiencing issues activating the Xfinity Stream Beta app on Smart TVs and have two or more linked Xfinity accounts you may receive the following message: "Welcome! This device can only access Xfinity Stream on your in-home Xfinity WiFi. Use the app on your smartphone, tablet or laptop to watch on the go, any time you like. Error TVAPP-00101." To fix this go to https://customer.xfinity.com/settings/account/linked-accounts and choose the right account you wish to activate your Smart TV from by selecting the Make This Primary option on the address your Smart TV is located at.
