dos attack
I used wireshark to check my internet and noticed it is getting bombarded with icmp packets and other packets source port 443 can i just request a new ip address from xfinity to stop?

xfinity absolutely will not provide you with a new public IP address. Second, know that there will always be comms on port 443, and a lot of them are not DOS. If you are using a router that has a MAC address cloning feature, you can clone a different MAC address into it. This will force a change of your Comcast-assigned WAN / public IP address. You could also try using a VPN.
