What you'll get


Xfinity Home Security comes with different equipment options. Choices include:

  • Touchscreen.
  • Door and window sensors.
  • Wireless keypad.
  • Motion detector.
  • Cameras.
  • Video doorbell.


Features include:

  • 24/7 Professional Monitoring: Rest easy knowing there’s 24/7 monitoring with fast response time backing you up.
    • Highly trained specialists can send authorities in the case of a security or smoke alarm.
      • Extra equipment purchase is needed.
    • Professional monitoring is provided by Central Office Processing Services (COPS) Monitoring.
      • COPS Monitoring is a The Monitoring Association (TMA) five-diamond rated company, in service since 1978 with six stations through the U.S.
  • Monitor activity and manage your system from your smartphone on the Xfinity Home app (also available in Spanish).
    • Set rules to get real-time alerts for your needs, like when doors and windows are opened.
    • Arm or disarm your system when away.
    • Review up to a week of uninterrupted recorded video in cloud storage.
      • This uses data. You must buy of a compatible camera.
  • Better Together with Xfinity: Control your security right from your TV with the Xfinity Voice Remote.
    • Say commands like “Arm my system” or “View Xfinity Home cameras."
  • Live Video Monitoring: View your home at any time by streaming live video.
    • Each camera is easy to install.

    • Note: System takeover isn't available in Massachusetts.

What you'll need during installation

  • High-speed internet service.
    • A minimum broadband speed of 750 Kbps (.75 Mbps) upload/download recommended.
  • A computer, smartphone or tablet with internet access and a web browser.
  • Your primary Xfinity ID and password.
  • The names and phone numbers of those who should be contacted in case of an emergency.
  • A qualified Authorized Signer present.
    • This doesn't need to be the account holder.
    • The Authorized Signer will choose the location and type of equipment installed, and may execute the contract.


Limited warranty


A limited warranty is included with Xfinity Home. For full terms, see the Xfinity Home Warranty Plan.


The following are covered by the warranty:

  • Xfinity Home devices purchased from Comcast or a Comcast-authorized retailer that have been integrated into your Xfinity Home system.
  • Certain security devices that were part of a previous security system that have been certified by an Xfinity Home technician and integrated into the Xfinity Home system.
  • The limited warranty provides complete equipment protection coverage for the Xfinity Home system for a one-year period.


The following devices aren't covered by the limited warranty:

  • Works with Xfinity devices.
  • Batteries.
  • Previously owned devices that an Xfinity Home technician determines aren't compatible with the Xfinity Home system.
