Adding Works with Xfinity devices to Xfinity Home (Answered)

Works with Xfinity lets you link compatible smart home devices to your Xfinity Home Security system, so you can control them from the Xfinity Home app.

You will need:

  • Xfinity Home Security service.
  • The Xfinity Home app.
  • A compatible device, installed and activated according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Login credentials for the device. For example, the username and password you use to log into your Lutron account.

Add your Works with Xfinity device

  1. Sign in to the Xfinity Home app.
  2. Tap the More icon at the bottom of the screen, then tap Add a Device.
  3. On the Add a Device screen, tap the brand of the device you want to add.

Add a Device screen with Caseta brand as an option.

  4. Tap Continue.

Connect account screen. Continue button on the bottom.

  5. As you complete the Before you Begin list, check the boxes, then tap Continue.

Before you Begin screen with task list, checkboxes to the left of each task. Continue button on bottom.

  6. Tap Agree to accept the Terms and Conditions of Use.
  7. Enter the login for the device (not your Xfinity ID and password), then tap Sign In. This screen may look different or not show at all, depending on the device.

Lutron log in screen. Sign in button on bottom.

  8. Some devices may send a code by text message to the phone number connected to your account.
    • This may take a few minutes.
    • Enter the code, then tap Verify.
  9. After adding a device in the Xfinity Home app, "Account Connected" shows, along with the devices linked to this account.
    • For example, all linked compatible Caseta lights and switches are listed.
    • If devices don’t show, make sure they are installed and activated.
    • If some of your devices are not there, tap Re-Sync. Once the Xfinity Home app syncs, all installed and activated devices should show.

Caseta screen with Re-sync button at the top.

Congratulations — your device is now linked to Xfinity Home!
