Xfinity SIP Server ?

Hello, 

I am a noob to VOIP. I got VOIP thru Xfinity, and i got a new modem that supports VOIP. 

The old analog phones work plugged in directly to the modem. However i wanted to get a VOIP phone, which i did. A Grandstream 1620. It has a dial tone, however all calls dialed result in a "No Response" error. 

I went into the settings on the phone and everything is empty, i googled setting it up and there is a great tutorial on setting it up but it adds in a SIP server address and everything. I called Xfinity and the "tech" had no clue. 

I need the phone line for work, what am i missing here?

u/maxamuusd Thank you for reaching out. Were you able to disable any of the SIP server settings on the phones configuration? Have you spoken with Grandstream regarding the errors?
