Voicemail

Hi, I’ve been trying to set up my voicemail box, but it’s saying that it’s not in service.

Hello, @user_58d60a! I'm sorry to hear about the voicemail box not being able to be set up. I'd like to check and make sure that Voicemail is on the account so the service is being read by your device. Is this for Mobile or a Landline phone?

Same here!!! This is soooo frustrating. We have tried to call the 800 number to get help...nothing. We have physically gone to our xfinity store twice now and they thought they fixed it but it’s still not working. No caller ID either we have to wait till someone makes a call and then wait a few more minutes to actually see who called and check on call history and of course they can not leave a message. We have never had any issues with our landline till we added cable again UGH!! Thinking of going back to YouTube TV. This is our landline so we don’t use it a lot but we still get calls and not home all the time to answer them so no one can leave us a message  ugh this is frustrating

I am having the same problem.  I just switched from my local phone company to Xfinity voice.  I ported my old phone number and everything seems to be working fine, but when I try to follow the instructions for setting up voicemail from this page...

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/setting-up-voicemail

it says the mailbox for this number is not in service - Goodbye.  That's real helpful.  And calling 800-Xfinity is equally useless.  I know the website says they discontinued something called Voice2Go.  Does that mean I can't use voicemail at all anymore?  Do I need to pay extra for it?  What is going on here?

Hello @Nightwolf. Not to worry, you can still absolutely use voicemail services, it's not something we discontinued. :)

We would like to take a closer look into your account with you though to help get your voicemail set up. Please send us a Live Chat with your first and last name as well as your service address so we can assist.

To send a Live Chat, please click on the chat icon on the top right of this page, next to the bell. Make sure to send the message to our singular handle "Xfinity Support" and we will get back to you ASAP.

I no longer work for Comcast.
