Verification code calls going directly to voicemail.

Asked this question previously and seem to have lost the thread.  Many businesses are using second verification access by calling to provide a code to enter online.  Unfortunately, my phone doesn't ring and the automated call goes to voicemail.  It's hit and miss, mostly miss that I can get the code if there is need of a key strike.

Tried to change the number of rings with no success.

Would there be any other new suggestions to remedy this situation?

Thank you.

I am so sorry you lost the previous thread, but I am happy to jump back in and help @VS23! I certainly understand how frustrating it is to be locked out of your own accounts because a verification call won't ring through, especially when you need to press a key to hear the code.

Since it sounds like the call is bypassing your phone entirely and heading straight to voicemail, here are a few suggestions to help get those calls to ring:
  • Check 'Anonymous Call Rejection': Many automated verification systems call from Unknown or Private numbers. If you have Anonymous Call Rejection enabled on your Xfinity Voice line, the system will block these calls before they ever reach your house. You can toggle this off by dialing *77 (and *87 to turn it back on later).
  • Review Call Screening/Spam Settings: If you use the Xfinity Voice portal or the Xfinity app, check to see if Spam Blocker is set to High. This can sometimes mistake legitimate automated verification bots for telemarketers.
