Potential customer questions

I'm considering replace ATT land line servoice with Xfinity voice.   I'm having difficulity with just how this all works from a home infrstucture point of view.  Every video and article I see shows only one phone being plugged into voice capable modem.  How do the rest of my phone extentions get connected??? Someeting done out side to "connect" my other room's phone jacks??

 

Other questions:

I have a scanner/printer/fax in my home office.  Is the fax still gipong to wok???

Rather than purchasing a back up battery for modem, will my current UPS still do the job???

Can anyone recommend an afforable voice capable modem other than comcasts list of $200+ ?

Basically, the room where your modem would go would have a phone jack. A phone cord from modem to phone jack to back feed service. If you need a phone in that room, you would use a phone line splitter(one side to the phone the other to the wall jack). If all your phone jacks work now, they should work after. If you’re doing the install yourself remember to disconnect ATT at your NID or wherever your phone lines meet up, whichever is your case, or you’ll have issues
