Phone has no dial tone

Good evening. My phone has not been receiving calls. It goes straight to voicemail if I call it from another phone and there is no dial tone when I pick it up at home. We got a new modem at Christmas and I don’t think it’s been working since then, but I just noticed it in the last few weeks.
