Phone has no dial tone since gateway upgrade

This seems to be happening to everyone. Why not make it obvious how to address this issue? Phone not functional. Goes straight to dial tone. Please fix this.

user_5abgr6 I can definitely understand the concern if you don't have a dial tone. There are several reasons that a phone may not work after a modem upgrade. It may not be connected correctly, or we may need to provision something on our end. Have you already confirmed that the phone is plugged into the TEL1 port on the back of the modem? Also, can you confirm if you have the phone direct from the phone itself to the modem?
