New ARRIS modem now all calls are forwarding to voice mail

We received an new ARRIS modem last month and have been having issues with not being able to answer calls to our voice number.  The phone rings and when we pick it up its dead air.   A few people who have called indicated it would ring but they get a message that the call is automatically being forward to voice mail.  How do I turn this forwarding off on the new modem????

Please send me a direct message with your first and last name, along with your complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.   

Here are detailed steps to direct message us:  

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary 

 • Click the direct message icon

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 

 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list 

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 

 • Press Enter to send your message

We truly appreciate your time in reaching out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I'm happy that we were able to resolve the service issue with the phone by switching that phone line from the Tel 2 jack to the Tel 1 jack. Have a wonderful rest of your week!
