Why isn't the caller's NAME showing along with the number?

Hello @lyngal28, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear that the names of callers aren’t showing up on your caller ID. I can understand how frustrating that must be when you want to know who’s calling before you answer. Were the caller names showing up correctly before? Also, does this seem to happen with every call, or is it happening intermittently?

I recently got Comcast landline service and just noticed that caller names never show up - just the phone number and [v] line 10

I clicked on that message icon but do not get "New  message" and the pencil (to write a question) is grayed out
