How to port existing Consolidated landline # to replace existing Xfinity voice #

I want to replace my existing Xfinity voice phone number with my existing landline phone number. Customer service keeps telling me to contact the "porting department" but they are unable to provide contact information. I can't find online any such department. How do I port my landline phone number to replace my Xfinity voice number?

No I have not. Nobody seems to be able to tell me how or who to contact at Xfinity to port my existing landline # to replace my existing Xfinity voice #.

@IleneC We can help get this escalated. Send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the message icon located at the top right of this forums page.
 

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
 

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send your message

I followed those instructions and was told that"I will have ticket completed to begin your transfer process". That was on January 5th. I have had no communication or contact since then. Nothing has happened regarding porting the phone number to replace my Xfinity Voice phone #,

In chat I was just given a phone number to call for "portability". It was for Verizon.

Is there anyone that can check on the ticket status, if there is even a ticket entered?

I would like to do this as well with my existing land line and existing Xfinity voice.  I don't see a message icon in the upper right of the forum page to send a direct message to Xfinity support.  So I'm not sure where else to go to get this process started.  Sounds like it may be more trouble than it's worth.  Were you finally able to get your landline # ported over to your Xfinity voice?
