Home phone not working after updating Xfinity gateway with new one

Replaced Xfinity gateway with new one. All went well. I didn't realize until today that the Home Voice service isn't working. 

Looks like the modem was not provisioned on the gateway during the setup.

Hello and welcome to Xfinity Forums! Let's take a look at the codes and make sure everything is added back on to your account. Please send us a direct message with your full name and service address: 

 

 

  • Make sure you are signed in here in the Xfinity Forum. Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message" icon (square chat icon in the upper right corner of your screen next to the bell icon)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

Contacted Xfinity support and they performed diagnostics remotely to the gateway device and following changes and a reset the home phone was working normally.
