Fax concerns

Will be setting up fax on our internet phone line.  Xfinity modem has two ports so no problem plugging in but ....Will there be problems since both phone and fax will share the same number?

Appreciate any input.

Unless you fax a lot, hook it up when you use it, unhook when you don’t. If you leave it hooked up it’ll be impossible for anyone who calls you to leave a message, as the fax will pick up before voicemail does. If you fax a lot, get a second number with no features

Greetings, @jphod! I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us here on the forums. I hope you are having an amazing day and staying safe out there. I certainly understand needing to make faxes during these crucial times. I would like to see what we can do about getting you that 2nd number. Can you please send me a PM with your first/last name and full address so I may further assist you?
