Fax and Phone

I just bought a new printer that has faxing capabilities. I probably will only ever send or recieve a fax once in a blue moon, but I thought it would be nice to have. Anyway, I already have my voicemail turned off because I use my phone for business and calls are routed to me. Having voicemail can mess up the routing, so I do not have voicemail. Is there a way to have both my phone and fax connected at the same time or will I need 2 lines? If I can connect them both at once, how do I do this?  Thanks in advance.
