Hi @tynpam2016 and @user_7e0e92! I assure you that you are not the only ones that have wanted to change your landline numbers LOL! Telephony usually has some extra steps since there may be things like e911 associated with your phone number. Please click on the little chat message bubble icon in the upper right and send a private chat to "Xfinity Support" with your name and the service address so we can start the process of changing the current number for you.
