change landline phone number

Hi

I recently set up a account with Xfinity Voice I want to know if I can change my landline number to the number I had with Verizon just cancelled the Verizon account this week .

Hey there, @user_zkzrq4 We can attempt to port in the number from the carrier that holds the number. However, if the number has been released back into the general pool after your account was disconnected, there is a good chance we will not be able to port in that number if it is with another customer. 

With your question regarding if you qualify for a free WiFi Boost Pod while being enrolled with xFi Complete would depend on the result of the Whole Home Evaluation. There is an email sent within 48 hours after the xFi Complete is added to an account and states the intention of the evaluation. The evaluation takes a few weeks and the results are emailed to the preferred address with the primary Xfinity ID. If the result is a fail it will provide a link to a free WiFi Boost Pod. If it does not fail it will provide you with ways to ensure great coverage inside your home. There is also the WiFi Boost Guarantee inside the Xfinity app. The link provides a breakdown of how to navigate through the Xfinity app to test your connection in dead spots of the home to see if you qualify for a free piece of equipment. If neither option provides you with a free pod you can purchase them for a one-time fee.  

Please also note that sending unsolicited direct messages to myself or any other user is a direct violation of our forum guidelines.
