Can Receive Phone Calls, but Cannot Dial Out
Hello,
I recently moved into a new apartment in Cherry Hill, NJ and had home phone service installed along with Internet and cable TV. I have two older landline phones, one of which is a rotary phone. I can receive phone calls on both phones, but cannot make phone calls from either phone. I would assume that Comcast no longer supports pulse dialing for rotary phones, which may explain why after dialing the number, I get a busy signal. The touch tone phone just gives me an error saying that, "Your call cannot be completed as dialed." I have tried dialing 1 and the area code to no avail. I have also tried restarting my modem. The touch tone phone is from around 2001 and does not have any display or switch to toggle between pulse and tone dialing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey there, benkleinberg97! Thank you for reaching out here on the forums. Pulse dialing can be enabled on certain modems, but new modems do not support pulse dialing. I'd be happy to troubleshoot this further with you to get the phone service working! Please send me a PM with your first and last name to get started.
