I am having the same issue.  My phone gives like half a ring and then goes to voicemail.   I have waited on hold for chat and phone support for several hours multiple times and finally I have to hang up or exit because after 3 hours of waiting I have other things to do in my life.

Every time I have an issue with my Xfinity services that need me to call for support it is the worst support I have every gotten from any company.

I went through the whole ordeal.  I tricked them calling business and was able to speak to alive person. He was very cordial and helpful. The problem was with the NOMOROBO calls. I went ahead and discontinued the NOMOROBO and then activated it again and so far it is working.

@diezdeonate Thanks for this post! I has the same problem with all landline calls going to voice mail. Had three call sessions with Xfinity Support and last tech diagnosed that our modem was old and corrupted and needed to be replace. The first available appointment was 4 days away.  In between the time the appointment was scheduled and the appointment date, I received 2 phone calls from Advanced Tech Support. The guy was almost unintelligible, but he tried to help. He was trying to avoid having a technician come to our home to solve the problem. When I asked him on the second call how he intended to correct the router/modem problem remotely since this had already been attempted twice, he had no answer and said goodbye. Finally the onsite tech arrived on time and checked cable, phone line, etc and found no problems. I asked him if he was going to install a new router/modem and he said sure and did. He provisioned the phone line and it worked for 3 days. Now the problem has returned. I did as you suggested and deleted NOMOROBO and my problem is resolved. My landline rings and doesn't go straight to voice mail.

Maybe someone from Xfinity will read this post and inform their support personnel that the fix is this simple. It would save customers a lot of aggravation and Xfinity money if this information was shared with Support.

Thanks for posting the solution to this problem.

You are a life saver.  I thought about re-enabling NOMOROBO after I disabled it but I thought I should leave it disabled until the issue was fixed as I did not want anything to interfere.   I just reactivated NOMOROBO and called myselft and it rang normal.
