Back office rate codes?
Anyone have knowledge of these terms, with regard to Xfinity Gateway? "Backend rate codes and re-provisioning the caller ID notification code."
I'm searching for an answer to why, after replacing an Xfinity modem with Xfinity's Gateway, my Smart TV no longer display caller ID. The most logical and untested answer I've found so far is from Google A.I. which tells me that the Gateway needs to have the proper back office rate and ID notification codes installed, and the Gateway is lacking them. Beats me. Xfinity's on-line techs are not familiar with this possible solution either. So, if no one in this community has a handle on the subject, then does anybody know to whom and how to up-channel the question to the Xfinity/Comcast VoIP experts?

Following up. I found the answer. Well, I should say Google A.I. found it. The Xfinity techs didn't know. With an Xfinity VoIP, the Gateway needs a code to permit Caller ID incoming calls to show on the TV. When my account was upgraded, the new Gateway I got was not programmed with the code. After days of messaging with Xfinity Support and sending them content from A.I., they discovered I was right. They had dropped the code during the modem-to-Gateway swap, remotely installed it and, finally, everything works. Ya gotta ask the right questions to get the right answer.
