Unable to disable voicemail on my own

We use a physical answering machine on our Xfinity Voice line, but Xfinity voicemail is sometimes answering instead.

We would like Xfinity voicemail completely disabled/removed from the line.

We already checked the Xfinity Voice settings, including **Advanced Call Forwarding**. There is definitely **no option on our account to change the number of rings before voicemail answers**. In fact, the page says:

“This telephone number does not have access to Advanced Call Forwarding.”

Can an Xfinity representative please help remove the voicemail feature from the line entirely?

Thanks for reaching out to us,  I know how important it is to be able to use your own answer machine to receive your voicemails.

You have reached out to the right team that can assist you with removing the Xfinity voicemail option!

To get started, send us a direct message including your first and last name and complete service address.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.
  3. Click the “Start new conversation” (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the “To:" line, type “Xfinity Support”.
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.
  6. An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press “Enter” to send it.
