Turn off voicemail

I have an answering machine on my phones and do not want or need the xfinity voicemail feature. Please disable/turn it off

Hi there. Thank you so much for reaching out. Have you attempted to access your voicemail settings?

To do so, you can use the Xfinity Voice Voicemail Settings online. First, sign in with your Xfinity ID and password. You must be the Primary user or a Manager to access these settings. Once signed in, select "Checking Voicemail" and set your playback preferences.

Typical useless answer from Xfinity support. You're asked a question about how to disable voicemail. You're answer "...select "Checking Voicemail" and set your playback preferences.

That does NOT disable voicemail. People want to know how to disable Xfinity voicemail so that they can use their home phone system to record the voicemail.
