Remove the Voicemail Feature from my line

I use Xfinity for my landline, but I like my old answering machine. It is confusing to have both the answering machine and voicemail on the same line.

Can you remove voicemail from my line?

user_ebvz4s Thank you for reaching out! Have you tried to increase the number of rings on your Xfinity Voice line before the voicemail answers? That may give your answering machine time to pick up the call. 
 
To change the number of rings:
Sign in to Xfinity Voice Settings using your Xfinity ID and password.
Click on Call Forwarding and then scroll to Advanced Call Forwarding.
Click the drop-down under Rings to select the number of rings before voicemail.
**The minimum number of rings is two, and the maximum is nine.
