      It's possible but a little tricky. You need to buy a telephone mic (formerly available at Radio Shack) at an electronics store. One side has a suction cup that sticks on your handset. The other side is a 1/4" mono plug that would go into a (portable or other) tape recorder. That is the old school way but there might be easier ways these days. Good luck!

Check your phone's maker (find the user-guide/manual online, if you can't find your copy).  My Panasonic cordless set has this feature, though I haven't used it myself.  Also, I'd check your state's laws; as there might be restrictions on recording phone conversations.
