I need to turn off Xfinity VoiceMail

Lately, all two factor identification messages immediately go to voicemail.

I already have an answering machine, so I really do not need the voicemail feature.

Please help.

@user_b6fipp, Thanks for reaching out to Xfinity Support. That is a great question. Here are the steps to turn off your Voicemail on your home phone.

  1. Access the voicemail system.
  2. Press **4** for personal options.
  3. Press **2** for administrative options.
  4. Press **1** to open the administrative options.
  5. Press **5** for **Skip PIN**.
  6. Press **2** to turn off the **Skip PIN** feature.

I'm not sure if this question was answered & I have the same interest: How do I turn off Xfinity VoiceMail so I can use only my home answering machine and not the Xfinity VoiceMail service. The answer seems to just activate the PIN feature on the phone.

user_cmm2cz Thank you for reaching out to out team here on our Xfinity Forums. I would be more than happy to help you with disabling the voicemail feature on your phone. To get started, please send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address.

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

I am so sorry I elected to let xfinity manage our landline. Now I'm seeing tons of messages about their stupid voicemail answering service. You would think that a corporation as large as they are could have managed actually ASKING if I want or need that feature. But no. You are stuck with it and no matter how they escalate to a higher specialist, they just can't figure out how to get rid of that one pesky VM that is still stuck in your phone. Really, xfinity. Do better. I am not honoring this latest promotion time frame. I have triple play and cell phones and internet with them. So sorry I allowed them to add the landline. Infuriating!
