Home phone/landline voicemail
Hi,
I replaced my home phones and the new ones don't have a built-in answering machine.
I am unable to get the Xfinity service to work.
When I dial *99 I am able to access the menu normally (I believe).
They were messages going back several years since I never checked this voicemail relying on the answering machine of my phone.
Also, strangely the phone has not wrung since being replaced when it usually rings often with telemarketing.
It does ring when I call it with my cell phone. ?
Thank you, Mary

Hello @TwinsGal Thanks for reaching out. Our phone plans have a very specific code that has to be added to the account to make sure you can access the voicemail feature. You didn't need that code with a built-in answering machine. That is my best guess in this case without seeing your account.
Worst case if it is not the code being the issue there are some additional troubleshooting steps we can take. Please send us a direct message with your full name and service address and we will look into this voicemail issue for you.
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
How to: Direct messaging withing the forum.
