get phone number for new landline

We already have an Xfinity account that includes both internet and voice. We have installed a new landline phone and can get a dial tone on it, but it has no number. How do we get a number--either our old number with Frontier, or a new number? If a new number, can we specify the number we would like to have?

I completely understand wanting to ensure you have all the details of your new landline with Xfinity. When you attempt to make a call, are you unable to complete the call? If your account with Frontier is still active, we could look into porting the phone number to Xfinity if you would like. The number must be active with the other provider. Please let us know.
