Elderly are left vulnerable !!
I was impressed that Comcast had an affordable voice service when I helped my elderly parents set up their phone.
They had moved into a retirement community and were living on a fixed income.
All was well, until they started getting scammers calling from Jamaica telling them they had won millions.
We all know to avoid these thugs, but my parents are 89 and have lost their ability to filter what is true, from what is a scam.
I searched on xfinity and found the NOMOROBO filter but, when I went to follow the instructions to set it up on my parents' line, it was not allowing me to add numbers to the advance call forwarding, as is required on NOMOROBO calls.
I called xfinity today and spent a VERY LONG time on the phone with someone with such a thick accent, it was hard to understand her statements.
After quite some time, she told me my parents voice service does not allow for advanced call forwarding, including this nomorobo service.
So comcast is excluding their most vulnerable clients from this important service.
Please comcast, find a way to add nomorobo to ALL of your lines. It isn't right that this is not available. It's the right thing to do.
