Disable Voicemail

Hi, I wonder why there is still no option to disable the voicemail. Can somebody from Xfinity disable it for me???

@user_a3d276 we may need to remove the feature from the account. Are you able to tell us more about your goal, so we can potentially provide a public solution? Do you want your own answering machine to pick up or did you wish to have the voicemail feature disabled for another reason?

I would like to use my own answering machine. I do not need this feature from xfinity so it would be great if you can remove it.

Our recommended step to takes is to change the ring count on your Xfinity Voice line. This link listed below is a good reference for us. Once you open the link click the blue link "Xfinity Voice Settings" from here you can sign in with your Xfinity ID and password. Then click on Call Forwarding or Advanced Call Forwarding. Lastly, click the drop-down under Rings to select the number of rings before voicemail. If you set the ring count to 9 it won't conflict with any answering machine you use!

I read this before but I can't select the rings! There is nothing I can select except a phone number. Please remove the answering feature!!!

Hey, @user_a3d276! We can certainly have a look into the account and see about getting the voicemail option removed from your line so you can use your own machine. Can you please click the Direct Message icon at the top right of the page, click on the pen and pad icon and enter Xfinity Support in the "To" section of the chat and provide us with your first/last name and full address so we may further assist you?
