Is there a way to completely disable Xfinity Voicemail on my home phone plan? How can I contact Xfinity to get this done?

My home phone rings once and goes straight to voicemail
Hello, @user_0898c1. I'm sorry to hear your phone calls are going straight to voicemail after ringing once. Please visit this link to make sure your settings are updated properly.
@user_fd319d We don't have an option on the Connect portal to disable your Voicemail feature. In most instances, this is included with the Voice package.
@XfinityRaul I have a neighbor who went to Comcast Voice for her home landline phone service. She called in to Comcast customer service and was able to have her voicemail disabled. Nothing special she had to do to request it -- just reach someone who said "yes".
I would also like to know how to disable Xfinity voicemail but can find no way to effectively contact a live person to get this done.
I had to go through a 15 minute chat with a CSR who first "disabled" my voice mail. All that did was prevent the voice mail message from getting delivered to my voicemail queue (what good is that?). When I finally was able to get the CSR to understand what I wanted he said he could remove the "VOICE MAIL PACKAGE" from my account. I guess you have to use their terminology to get any success. I too, had to do this through CHAT. There's no way to do it online in your account.
