Comcast Voicemail does not work

I have an issue where Comcast voicemail does not work. The only way I can access VM is to call *99, which is very inconvenient. The web and app do not work. I see a message that VM is not enabled for this account, please call Xfinity support. But VM is setup. It just isn't setup correctly. I setup my VM message, and I am getting email notifications that I have new VM when someone leaves a message.

I have called several times about this. I have spent hours on the phone. I was told yesterday that this has been an ongoing issue for a year, and that there is nothing I can do. But when I looked in these forums, another person had the same issue and said they were able to get it resolved. I believe the support person just didn't know how to deal with it. I had a similar issue with the same phone number where I couldn't even see call history and that took many phone calls and much patience just to get resolved. I have had this account since February since moving from Comcast business to comcast home, and VM has NEVER worked.

Are there support personnel here? I sure would like some help.

I tried to resolve this yesterday and spent hours on the phone with no results. I thought I would try again today. I spent 50 minutes on chat before they told me I needed to call the support number again.

Call, they reset modem. That didn't work.

Call, escalate, they said they fixed it, wait an hour. That didn't fix it.

Call, escalate, they said they fixed it, told to wait a day. That didn't fix it.

Went to the Xfinity store. They said they can't help and I need to call the 1-800 number. I asked for the manager. Manager said she would escalate it on her own. I waited two days and it was never fixed.

Call, troubleshoot. Try new browser (tried Chrome on Mac, Safari on Mac, Firefox on Mac, Chrome on Windows 11, Firefox on Windows 11), Then cleared cache on two browsers. Still not fixed. then this was escalated. They said they fixed it. Told to wait an hour. They called back. Didn't get fixed. They escalated again. Then they said it was an ongoing issue and that it has been for a year and they can't fix it.

Came to the forums, found another user who said after many calls it did get fixed for them, so I tried again.

Next day tried chat. Spent an hour on chat doing more troubleshooting, same as before. After an hour was told to call the 1-800 number.

Came back here and made this post.

The number is four two five seven four nine, seven three nine six. It was previously a Comcast business number. It was ported to Comcast home in February. At first nothing worked. Then after several phone calls I got the number working. After several more phone calls I got call history working and *99 working. But still no VM on the app or browsers.

This was never setup correctly at Comcast, and at this point I have tried various times times since March 2026 to get it working correctly by calling, chatting, going to the store. The problem is that it was never setup correctly and there's nothing I can do.

I'm getting messages to accept the last answer as a solution, but it hasn't been resolved. I did start a chat based on this thread and provided all my information but it wasn't fixed yet again. I received a text and was asked to reply Y or N if it was resolved. I then received a text saying someone would call. But I was already out and couldn't take a call, and now I'm overseas for three weeks.

I'll have to try again when I get back. But I feel like I'm repeating the same thing over and over. It really shouldn't be this hard. Thanks
