Comcast discontinuing non-published listings
Received notification of a credit today and when I logged in to check, I learned that effective today (March 5), Comcast is no longer including non-published or unlisted service as part of the phone service.
Going back to my November statement, there is no notification of this whatsoever on any of the bills, this just came out of the blue.
I don't believe they can change service of this type without notifying customers in advance.

Worse, their "listings" page at http://www.ecolistings.com/, which has been "broken" for many weeks, now says they are discontinuing ALL listings:

[quote]Effective March 5th, directory listings will no longer be a feature of Xfinity Voice service.
This means we will no longer make available any directory listing information about our Xfinity Voice customers through ecolisting.com, directory assistance, or print publications. This includes names, phone numbers, and addresses. We also will not share any of this information with third-party publishers.
We're making this change as part of our ongoing commitment to enhance customer privacy.[end of quote]
This means that they have already been releasing customer information, such as names, phone numbers, and addresses to third-party publishers. So, how does this help anyone who has already been an Xfinity customer? Your data has already been sold and is still available to those who bought it.
