change my voicemail number of rings

Everywhere I check it says that option is either on the "Checking Voicemail" tab or on the "Call Forwarding" tab under "Advanced Call Forwarding", but on that tab it says"This telephone number does not have access to Advanced Call Forwarding."

Hi there, @user_S01920, thank you for taking the time to reach out to us through our Xfinity Forums. I am sad to hear you are experiencing issues with adjusting your Voice features. Are you logged in as the primary user?

have finally figured it out! The article is just wrong.

You have to first enter a tel # into one of the boxes then the RINGS options appear. You can then remove the "forward" phone # if you want and leave the original # iwth its new ring count. Here is a screenshot:

For Xfinity support: this is the inaccurate support article that needs to be fixed: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-number-of-rings-before-calls-are-forwarded @CCValerie

@user_3a177f It was nice of you to post how to do it, and I am glad that worked for you, I just wish that worked for me. I don't have access to the advanced call forwarding feature according to that page and the call forwarding features I do have, do not give me the options you got under advanced call forwarding. :(

The Xfinity representative on the phone tonight told me the number of rings before voice mail answers cannot be changed. They also told me that one cannot deactivate voice mail. In other words, they force you to have voice mail if you use them for the land line phone, and they force you to have it answer after the number of rings they think should work for you, even if it doesn't.
