call forward to unknown number

What happens if I forward a number to a non working ph number?

If to say I keep getting a call (after blocking it many times) can I just forward it into infinty phone number space?

Will it effect my phone? Or I should ask, how will it effect my phone?

Thank you

Hi,Brian_14. Thanks for posting and patiently awaiting a reply! If you forwarded calls to a nonworking phone number, the caller would get a message about the phone number being unavailable/invalid. However - if you blocked the call, the caller should not be able to get through. Here is an outline for call screening: https://comca.st/39q5Fsa. Please let us know what other questions you have!

Thank you Morgan for the reply.

I kind of thought it would do something "like" that.

I get a crazy amount of calls that come from.... robo, scams, some I am unsure of as they have peoples names attached. I was getting 10 to 20 some calls a day that I did not want.

The blocking has helped alot. So has the robo.

I think that maybe, my number got spread around some how... That is why I wanted to know about just forwarding some of these calls into phone space. Just so they can't keep calling me.

Now a call will ring the phone one time and then go dead. Is that the robo blocking? The numbers are not in Voice or call history.

Sorry so long here but one more question plse...

Can I get a complete log of "all" calls that come in? Somewhere. Like I said those that ring one time are not in my call history and I have noticed other calls that do not end up there, or my phones CID.

Thank you
Brian

Hi! Happy New Year's Eve!

OK, got it. If you don't have call forwarding setup yet, then NoMoRobo is likely what is leading to the line ringing once and then going to voicemail. On the other had, caller ID doesn't always pick up on the first ring anyway. Sometimes it takes a couple rings to transmit the caller ID data. That may be why you're unable to see the caller ID record for certain phone calls, because the caller isn't technically "getting to you." They're essentially being blocked. I wanted to provide a couple links for you here. This one: https://comca.st/2MJKxDv and this one: https://comca.st/39vumU8. Have you registered your number through the National Do Not Call Registry? That may help a bit, although it is not an immediate solution. Another option would be to change your phone number and set it as an unpublished number. Having an unpublished number through us does come with a small monthly fee though. Let me know what your thoughts/questions/concerns are. Thanks Brian!
