2001000001

Why do I have multiple calls made to 2001000001 on my phone log? Outbound calls are placed but I’m not the one dialing them from my physical home phone. The phone rings twice and then it stops but on the call history it shows 2001000001 placed followed by an outbound call to phone numbers I do not even know who they belong to. Is my service secure? Will I get any charged fees for these calls I’m not making?? All I have is voicemail. I do not have call forwarding. I do not have call blocking. Just simple voicemail.

If you are using Nomorobo, that is one of the numbers they use with that service. It's how Nomorobo works. See https://nomorobo.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200536477-How-does-it-work-on-Landlines. If you don't want to use Nomorobo see "Disable Nomorobo" on https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/nomorobo

Note that https://nomorobo.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/41087882749453-Nomorobo-Landline-Service-Discontinuation says:

... Nomorobo spam call protection for VoIP/landlines will be discontinued on January 1, 2026 ...
