Serious Safety Issue – Dogs Escaped Due to Technician Negligence (Formal Complaint Sent to Executives)

Hello Xfinity Team,

I’m writing here after already submitting a formal complaint via email to Comcast’s executive leadership regarding a serious safety issue caused by a field technician’s negligence.

On April 30, 2025, a Comcast technician entered my fenced and secured backyard without any notice or permission, allegedly to access a utility box. Instead of using the clearly available public easement behind my property, the technician opened my private chain-link gate and left it unsecured, which allowed both of my dogs to escape the yard. These pets have never been off-leash, and this put them at immediate risk of harm. It took myself and a neighbor to recover them safely.

What’s worse, when confronted, the technician showed no remorse and did not offer any apology. My neighbor also reported a similar experience with a Comcast technician recently, suggesting this may be part of a broader issue.

I’ve already submitted a formal complaint to Comcast’s executive team, requesting:

  • A permanent restriction on my account requiring 48-hour written notice before any technician enters my property.

  • An internal investigation into the technician’s conduct.

  • Clarification on property access policies and training to prevent this from happening to others.

This is unacceptable behavior and a serious breach of both safety and trust. I’m requesting immediate acknowledgment from Xfinity Support and confirmation that my account will be updated accordingly.

Thank you

I did not request a service for my location. I simply have a utility pool in the corner of my backyard. Which can be easy accessed from a public road on the otherside of the fence. The technician or agent just have to simply look up on google map which they will be able to find a way around it. Are they NPC that only know one way? Also my driveway fence is chain-link fence means that anyone can see through. If saw dogs should act carefully to ensure the pets stayed in my yard and lock the gate properly. These are some simple task which can be performed with basic common sense. Was the person Comcast hired not capable of  advanced logical reasoning?!
