Hours spent on phone, no resolution.
My internet goes down often, even after a tech changed the cable line and the service started temporarily working again. For example, it was disconnected for 1 hour today. Prior to this, there was an xfinity outage in my area, and the internet speeds slowed to a crawl before the technician. I told the technician, the problem was also disconnections, not just speed (at about 1 mb/sec though I have 2000 mb/sec through my account).
Furthermore, I can't seem to get Xfinity to comprehend I moved from two addresses and no longer want to pay for them. I called many times, spent hours, and Xfinity doesn't know how to disconnect my old accounts even though I told them months ago. Every time I talk to a rep they tell me it's still active. I'm currently talking to one right now, hoping they fix it talking to the "backend". Ultimately, they had to provide a payment to me for the time they charged me in my old address, when I told them prior, I was moving. Yet every time I call, they have not disconnected it yet.
Hopefully this call will fix the account problem. But even then, the disconnection problem remains. And a tech being sent down to change the cable doesn't fix periodic disconnections, it only resolved the slow speeds, not the disconnections.
Update, in the call, the rep said it's disconnecting (the internet) because the old account is still active (the one I moved from). He said the internet was now fixed because it's connected and he will transfer me to the disconnection team of my address. I asked how deleting my old address will fix my disconnecting internet, they said, it will fix it because I should only have 1 account. I explained that is a separate issue, I want only one account but I want someone to fix my disconnecting internet as well. They stated I wasn't listening and transferred me not to the disconnecting (accounts) team, but to some random representative without any prompt or warning, or further clarification.
I've been on the phone for hours today, with no resolution. This is unacceptable. I am currently talking to a "Sheen". Hopefully this will help. This isnt promising either. They're telling me the APT BR. account is still active and I have to return equipment once it's cancelled. First off, it should already be closed, months ago, and second of all, I had my own modem and no t.v. so I owe no equipment. It seems every time I talk to a representative, they never resolve my issues and create new, unforseen problems that shouldn't exist. The customer service representative Sheen for example, which I am sitll on the line with, instead of repeatedly telling her I need my internet fixed and to please schedule a technician visit, and to close my APT BR account, she continues to redirect me to getting a new XFINITY pro service.
