equest for Early Migration of Comcast Email Accounts to Yahoo Due to Ongoing Reliability Problems
As much as I despise Yahoo, and I strongly resent Xfinity's move to Yahoo, I find myself in a position where the exist Xfinity email/pop3 service is horrid. So....
I am requesting an escalation to Xfinity's email engineering or migration team to authorize early migration of all my existing @comcast.net email accounts to Yahoo Mail.
I have maintained these email addresses since 1997, and changing them is not a viable option.
I am experiencing persistent reliability problems with Xfinity's current email infrastructure:
-
Incoming email frequently takes 15–30 minutes to become available.
-
Microsoft Outlook regularly reports hard errors when communicating with Xfinity's POP3 servers.
-
These problems are significantly affecting the usability and reliability of my email service.
I use the desktop version of Microsoft Outlook with POP3 and SMTP, not IMAP or Microsoft 365. Continuing to use POP3 is an absolute requirement.
I understand that Xfinity is migrating Comcast email accounts to Yahoo and that customers are ordinarily required to wait for notification. However, given the ongoing service failures, I am requesting an exception to the normal migration schedule.
Specifically, I request:
-
Escalation to the team responsible for Comcast-to-Yahoo email migration.
-
Early migration eligibility for all my existing
@comcast.netemail accounts. -
Confirmation that my addresses will remain unchanged and that POP3/SMTP access will be supported following migration.
-
If early migration cannot be authorized, a specific explanation of the technical or administrative restriction preventing it.
I am not requesting routine troubleshooting instructions, a change to IMAP, or recommendations to use webmail. I am requesting an engineering-level review of early migration eligibility because the existing service has become unreliable.
Please provide a support ticket or escalation reference number and a substantive response from the team responsible for migration eligibility.
Thank you.
