The Direct Messaging icon doesn't appear until you have made your first post. You should be able to see it now.

@BigC2005 In addition to what @BruceW posted, if you send a DM/PM without request it most likely will be ignored by the OE's, so it's better to create a post with your problem and wait for someone to reply to you. Also note that this is a Community forum so anyone might be able to help you with your issue.
Please post your problem in the appropriate forum and leave out any personal identifying information.
