Are you trying to connect to your home Hotspot, or a Xfinity Hotspot outside your home network trying to log in with your Xfinity ID?
When trying to connect to the Hotspot do you see a padlock next to it, and if so do you see multiple Xfinity Hotspots to choose from?
When I go to connect to my network, I can see some of my neighbors networks as well and have accidentally tried to sign in to their secured Xfinity Hotspot before. Here is a good article that goes over Hotspots: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/about-xfinity-wifi-internet
