Xfinity Flex remote, xr15, volume control doesn’t work with dell ultra sharp 38 monitor?
play, channel etc work but volume control and mute doesn’t work.
monitor has its speakers. Flex videos play on the monitor but to control volume, one has to manually operate the monitor.

Thank you. This makes sense. So this dell monitor can see these IR signal if it doesn’t support IR.

You're very welcome. Reach out to Dell to see if there is an upgrade that can receive that signal.

I no longer work for Comcast.

Does the monitor support IR?  I couldn't find 5 digit IR remote control codes online, you might need to contact Dell for more info.

I know, the monitor doesn’t have a remote. Does it mean, it might not have IR?

i thought, this remote pairing and command is though HDMi. meaning, the remote talking to the monitor though the flex box to hdmi to monitor.

the other buttons like CH works, could it be due to the talk between remote and flex box?

We use IR to talk to the TV ( control volume) and RF to control the flex box.
