Why isn't YouTubeTV a featured app on Flex?
I see other streaming services like Hulu, Sling, Prime, Disney+, even regular YouTube, but I don't see YouTube TV? Am I missing something or is it not being at least offered on the Flex box as an app even if I have to subscribe to it?

Hello, @imngtech, Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Xfinity Forums.
The available apps are determined by various contracts with those services, but we always appreciate customer feedback and I'll be sure to make sure it is forwarded to be taken into consideration for apps we add in the future. :)

Any updates on this? Flex is mostly useless to me if YouTube TV is not available.

I just picked up the flex box from the local xfinity office after discontinuing my cable tv service with them due to continued price increases. I'm moving to YouTube TV for my tv watching and the local xfinity office told me I could use the flex box to stream from YouTube TV but it appears that I cannot!?! This flex box will pretty much be useless to me also if cannot access the YouTube TV app......

I just received my Xfinity Flex box and saddened to know that I can’t access my TV subscription to UtubeTV. That is my main live TV subscription. I won’t be able to deploy this new device until UTubeTv is made available on Xfinity Flex. ☹️

I am a new Xfinity customer. Cutting the cord. I was using Roku to stream everything including YouTubeTV. With Xfinity I got the flex box free, so I connected it. Was surprised I couldn't get YouTubeTV. So for now I will disconnect flex.

Same here... long time YOUTUBE TV subscriber for main television service. I don't care if you personally add "YouTube TV" specifically to all the devices, instead I believe you should focus on having a "Play Store" (cough*GOOGLE*cough), thus allowing your customers to choose and pick what apps they have and what they don't. I think personalization is a HUGE missed opportunity for you guys and will find losing a TON of Flex customers because of it. I know the 1st box is "FREE", but there is a personal cost if we have to have a 2nd device hooked up or change devices when we want to watch something not offered, like YouTube TV. And the comment in the employees response is hard to understand; "The available apps are determined by various contracts with those services" .... I find that difficult to swallow considering people are primarily asking for YouTube TV here and if you do "contracts" with different services, why would you guys have a contract for YouTube itself and YouTube Kids, and not an "umbrella" contract including YTTV? Then you offer "History Vault", but not the regular "History" app? It would be such a better device and service if it came with these apps just preset/pre-installed, but the ability to uninstall any, and install any others, would be a game changer for this device. But until I can use this device how I want to, it'll be unplugged and returned, along with the other 5 in my house for each bedroom. Each TV has a Chromecast which work well but I thought this would be a solution to avoid having to deal with casting and cell battery issues and whatnot. Having only literally 4 apps on this device that my kids and I will use makes it almost obsolete, reminiscent of my old $18 "Kodi Box" I had 10 years ago with only 8gb of storage for apps. At least with that thing I could delete an app if I wanted another and didn't have enough storage; I had access to the whole Google Play Store for anything my heart desired. I'm am so excited I have a "Doodle Jumps Christmas Edition" game on the Flex though, nevermind I'll keep it and teach my kids to play that instead of watching the $60/month YouTube TV service I already pay for, who needs that!?!? 🙄😉😂🤣
