rdk-03088

I have Xfinity Internet. With that I have one small box (Xfinity Flex) that connects my wireless signal (router) to my TV via hdmi cable. I have a remote to control the Flex box.

Suddenly not all the buttons on the remote are working and I got an !RDK-03088 error. I replaced the batteries in the remote but that didn't help and I power cycled the X1 box a couple of times with no improvement.

I then chatted with Xfinitiy's AI chatbot but it doesn't recognize this error. It did try re-booting my router, a process that hung up for over half an hour so I ended up power cycling the router. When it came up the TV showed an RDK-03087 error.

Note, all other devices work fine on the wireless (laptops, tablets, phones and TV). It is just when I try to use the Xfinity X1 box that I have a problem. Since that is how I access my purchased movies I would like to get this fixed.

I'm having the same issue.  I'm guessing that Comcast / Xfinity is just having issues across the board.  My internet and cable drop a few times a day; it's been happening for weeks now.  Their website says that I'm in an outage area, suddenly it's resolved, then it's out again.  Like right now, for example.  They are completely unreliable as of late.

My internet isn't going out but the Xfinity Flex box isn't responding to the remote so I can't select any options for viewing.

user_a2hlpo Thanks for reaching out! The RDK-03088 error usually means there is no upstream Internet Connection from the Wireless Gateway to the Xfinity Flex box. How far away is the Xfinity Flex box from the Xfinity Gateway?

All other internet access, including devices within about 3 feet of the Xfinity Flex box, were working. Seems like this is more to do with the Xfinity Flex box or service. Comcast is replacing it with Xumo. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.

Yes, the Xumo box seems to have resolved the issue, though YouTube has frozen up several times, requiring me to go to a different app for a time and coming back into it. Probably a YouTube issue but I will continue to monitor it.
