Okay, we'll never be able to customize the Flex home screen. Why?

I see requests to customize the Flex home screen going back at least a year now on these forums, and the stock response is always "Wow, that's great feedback, at this time we have no plans to allow this but have you tried the voice commands?" It's clear they're not going to allow this — honestly, the fact that this wasn't built in from the beginning is all the proof needed to know they don't want to provide this ability. Every other streaming device has this. Every smart TV has this. It's not like it didn't occur to the folks building the Flex that people might want this. So what's the reasoning here? Does Comcast get paid by the different subscription services to feature on the home screen? Is this why the Flex device itself is free? I'd like to know the actual reason. There seems to be no point in submitting feedback about it. Right? After more than a year of that feedback, there are still "no plans" to work on it.

Hello @J_Walter_Weatherman Thank you for reaching out over our Community Forums page. You do pose an interesting question. It's one that I wish we had an answer too. I am going to make it a point to bring this up at my next meeting to see what we can do about getting this resolved for you.

Great question, @J_Walter_Weatherman! I am not sure when my colleague's next meeting is, but I will make sure to pass along this great feedback. At Comcast, we are always striving for technological innovation so even though this feature is not available at this time, it may be available in the future. Here is also another great option to help with making sure your voice gets heard. Please visit this link as a shortcut to our feedback section located at the bottom of our webpage. How does this sound?

Software updates are easy Xfinity.

We need to be able to remove apps we don’t want to see, favorites, and AirPlay options for screen sharing.

Get it done.  Long overdue.

@Clark_W_Griswold This will never happen! You should be looking at a Roku, Fire TV Stick or Apple TV for those features you want.
