New Flex Box Won't Power On

I received a new Flex box and went through the set-up process. I followed all the steps as directed but the box power indicator light never turns on and my TV on the correct input does not pickup a signal from the box. I tried connecting the HDMI "input" port and the light did turn on, so the HDMI ports on my TV are working, and the Flex is receiving power from the power cord. I've tried a few HDMI cords and I've tried a few power outlets just in case, to no avail. Is this an issue with the HDMI "TV" port on the Flex?
