Thanks for meeting us in our community, @user_dpfzfa. We are sorry to hear about the trouble pairing the XR16 remote. The following are two options to reset the remote to pair. Please let us know if they help.
-Factory Reset an XR16
Hold down Info (i button) + Home (house button) for three seconds until the LED changes from red to green.
Press Power, Last (left arrow button) and Volume Down (- button) in order.
-Pairing an XR16 Remote to Control a Streaming Device
Make sure the customer’s TV and streaming device are both powered on.
Remove the pull tab on the XR16 remote (two AA batteries are already installed).
Aim the remote at the front of the TV Box and press the Voice button.
Follow on-screen instructions to complete pairing.
If you’re already paired for voice, but need to program the remote to control your TV, just press and hold the Microphone (Voice) button and say, "Program remote."
You can also access the remote programming instructions through the Remote Settings menu.
