Getting Dolby Atmos to work on Xfinity Flex

Per this article: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/dolby-atmos-x1 I understand that X1 provides Dolby Atmos content. I have an Xi6-T Xfinity Flex box and I am unable to find any Dolby Atmos content (via voice search for "Dolby Atmos"). I've called support and received varying answers on whether or not Flex supports Dolby Atmos (yes it does, no it doesn't, I am not sure).

Can anyone here with an Xfinity Flex box confirm whether or not they can access Dolby Atmos content?

My current set up: HDMI 2.0 cable running from the Flex to my Dolby Atmos sound bar. Another HDMI 2.0 cable running from the soundbar to my TV's ARC port. ARC/CEC on my TV are working fine and Digital Audio output is set to bittstream. Video and audio are also working fine, I just can't get/find Dolby Atmos content (just Dolby Digital, etc).

Lastly, can someone please DM me the instructions for doing a factory reset on my Xi6-T box?

@Dlp6 do you have an Xi6 box for Flex? Or is it the regular Xi6 box?

@champino21 where in the public domain is a distinction made between a Flex Xi6 and a regular Xi6? What are the capability differences? Here's one link, but without elaboration: https://www.xfinity.com/hub/tv-video/4k-ultra-hd-tv?pc=1

""4K HDR set top boxes are available for X1 (XG1v4 or Xi6) and Xfinity Flex (Xi6)..."

An advanced tech support rep just told me that (per an Internal Use Only document) only the Flex Xi6 supports Atmos. We'll see...

I’ve given up trying to get Atmos to work with a flex box. For me, the situation is even worse. I have a 7.1 surround system and it has apparently hopelessly confused Xfinity. The back surround speakers get no signal at all but my Atmos speakers do. Xfinity seems to think the front Atmos speakers are the back surround speakers. If I go to YouTube and play a sound check video for either 5.1 or 7.1, nothing plays in the back surround speakers. If I go to Xfinity/Netflix I don’t see any listings with Dolby Atmos. Netflix does that when their software thinks your system doesn’t have Dolby Atmos. My Xfinity audio settings are on Expert mode. If I start my xBox and go to Netflix, same listings but now they show Dolby Atmos and the surround sound speakers work just fine. Same if I do a sound test with my Marantz receiver. All speakers work. If I play a 4K bluray disk, Atmos works fine so there is absolutely nothing wrong with my wiring/configuration. It’s the Flex box. I can live without the Atmos working but it aggravates me to no end that my back surround speakers are silent. Whatever Xfinity thinks they have done right, per usual, they haven’t.

How do you actually know that you are getting Atmos audio?

@Zolotoy turn off or disconnect your 5.1 or 7.1 speakers and listen to the Atmos speakers.

@Cfosters20 I have exactly the same. Spent couple of days working on that problem. Now I am realizing that it is a Flex problem, not my 7.1 setup.
