Flex Device Cannot Open Apps

When I press the menu button (has home icon), it opens up the bottom menu. When I tab over to "Apps" and select it, I immediately see an error message that says "We're Sorry. The App Service is not responding. Please try again later."

I have been on the phone with support multiple times and it has been elevated to the engineers, but still has not yet been resolved. This happened on the very first day that I installed my flex device. They told me it could be an issue with the device, so I returned it and the swapped it out for a different one. Same thing happens on the new one.

Please help?
