flex Apple TV+
I have two Flex boxes and signed on to Apple TV+ on the first without incident but the second one has the problem others have identified, ie Apple logo then black screen. Rebooted the device with the same result.

I appreciate you sharing that rebooting the device didn't resolve the issue. Have you had a chance to uninstall, and reinstall the Apple TV app on the Flex Box yet? If not, could you please give that a try, and let me know if that resolves the issue?
